Bonny Johnson, Chair of the Beautification Committee, presented two proposals for the new Town Hall: placing two potted boxwood shrubs at the front entrance and installing two weatherproof benches that convert to picnic tables near birch trees. The purchases would be covered by the 2025–2026 budget. The Selectboard requested the Beautification Committee meet with building staff and Josh Dryden to confirm placement and avoid interference with winter plowing; the committee will report back on Sept. 8.
Separately, the Board approved the Library's request to use the Town Office parking lot on Sept. 13; James Ameden moved to approve the request and the motion passed unanimously. On maintenance, Mark Wright offered to take over mowing Aiken's Corner; Town Administrator Aileen Tulloch raised concerns about liability for non‑Town employees and asked Wright and Parks staff to discuss options before the board takes further action.
