Long-Term Recovery committee presents Derry Resilience Project to Selectboard

Mora said the plan sets five goals: improving emergency response, preparing for future disasters via hazard mitigation and preparedness, building community communications and volunteerism, planning for affordable and vibrant long-term development, and strengthening regional cooperation.
Mora said the plan identifies ten projects across five categories (Fire Department strategic planning; emergency preparedness and response; hazard mitigation; community development; and regional cooperation) and names champions and partners for each project. The Selectboard agreed to take up the plan at its next meeting and to consider supporting its recommendations.
