Town Administrator Trish Waugh updated the Selectboard on IT support and Town Office security. VC3 resolved laptop and video-card issues for Barbara and Steve with Lenovo warranty service; Trish recommended that contacts refresh Steve’s address book to address a Green Mountain Access email routing problem.
Trish and Barbara tested a Yeti microphone with the Owl video unit and found the Owl requires integrated audio/video use, so alternative recording approaches will be tried at the next meeting. On Town Office security, Trish presented a vendor quote from Middlebury Lock for $4,585 and proposed reducing cost to $4,096 by rekeying existing locks and using the front-door lock for the conference-room closet. Chair Tim McGowan asked for a rekey quote and said, “The security of the Town Office needs to be expedited.” Serena Fox raised concern about cost and suggested simpler solutions may be preferable given Lincoln’s scale; Trish will seek the rekey quote and additional options.
