The City of Lewisville approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Jefferson County to coordinate road repairs this summer. Council Member Celena Lewis moved to pass the MOU and Waco Taylor seconded; the motion passed unanimously at the April 8 meeting.
Council members discussed the need to schedule a separate road-work meeting to plan pothole filling and to have maintenance staff trained on the durapatch machine. The minutes identify Don Horel as the person the council asked be contacted to instruct the maintenance crew on operating that equipment. Kort Ware also provided a brief update on relevant LHTAC grant opportunities that may support road work.
