Lewisville council reviews Jefferson County sheriff's report showing few major incidents

Officer Mike Miller of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department presented the department's activity reports for Oct. 11'1 to Nov. 7, 2025 and Nov. 8 to Dec. 5, 2025, noting the two periods together accounted for about 177 logged hours. The first period logged 89 hours with 21 incidents, 2 arrests, 11 citations and 27 traffic contacts; the second logged 88 hours with 17 incidents, 0 arrests, 5 citations and 27 traffic contacts. "There is nothing really stands out on the report," Miller said, noting a sizable number of investigated 911 hang-ups.
Council acted to add the second portion of the sheriff's report to the evening's agenda so it could be heard. Councilmember Celena Lewis moved to amend the agenda; Councilmember Waco Taylor seconded and the motion passed. No further enforcement actions or follow-up investigations were announced at the meeting.
