Selectboard hears roadwork update: grant covers Upper Lincoln Gap Road, final costs pending

Town Administrator Trish Waugh told the Selectboard on May 5 that work on Upper Lincoln Gap Road has been completed under a grant award of $41,875 that requires a 20% local match of $8,375. "To date, the Town of Lincoln has incurred $29,397.90 in expenses, and it is anticipated that the remaining material, equipment, and labor costs will bring the total project cost close to the full grant budget," Waugh said in the meeting minutes.
Waugh also reported on upcoming pavement work: D&F Paving has been contacted to schedule a final skim coat on Lower Gap Road, with sweeping required before paving. She said Josh from the Highway Department will begin attending Selectboard meetings monthly starting May 19 to keep the board informed of road projects and operations. The board discussed the potential to rent a sweeper or contact Patterson for past sweeping services and flagged Bagley’s roadside mowing schedule for coordination with invasive plant removal.
