Former mayor urges action on unfinished pool work, sewer complaints and overgrown trees

On the subject of overgrown trees, Dreesen said residents were receiving trimming notices and appealed to neighbors to respond rather than discard the letters; staff confirmed tree-trimming letters had been sent earlier in the summer and that follow-up was delayed by staffing shortages but was planned in the coming weeks.
The council did not take any immediate formal action during public comment beyond staff follow-up; Mayor and staff responses in the meeting indicated staff would consult the city attorney and pursue next steps regarding the contractor and neighborhood complaints.
