Council reviews broadband, housing code enforcement, CDBG LMI survey and other admin items

City Clerk Jim Koger told the council that Mercury Broadband service has been added to City Hall and the city shop and recommended moving Kwikcom service to the old shop. The clerk also updated council on several administrative items: enforcing the minimum-water provision of the city’s minimum housing code, planned updates to the utility-billing policy, an RFP for accounting services (the packet included a quote from Nyp Accounting), and the need for an updated low- to moderate-income (LMI) survey to support a possible CDBG grant application.
The council did not take formal action on the ATV ordinance staff circulated; Chief Eric Carlson asked council members to review the proposed ATV ordinance and return edits to the police department. On an earlier ROW-tree inquiry, the city attorney advised the city had no liability but an affected property owner retains the option to file an insurance claim. No immediate votes were taken on these administrative items; staff will bring refined proposals and required documents to future meetings.
