Overbrook prioritizes pool repairs and aims to boost summer camp enrollment by March 1

City Parks & Recreation staff told council they will prioritize necessary repairs at the municipal pool and coordinate with Maintenance to complete work early in the season; the goal is to level the budget and complete repairs before peak use.
Staff also reported efforts to clean and improve the old gym, streamline public access and consult the fire marshal on crash-bar requirements. Parks & Rec is working with community members to remove old equipment. Staff said they are "working on getting numbers up for summer camp enrollment" and are targeting having summer camp information available by March 1 to increase sign-ups.
Council asked Madison to contact the fire marshal to confirm requirements and noted the department is exploring new revenue ideas and wage adjustments to smooth operations.
