KDHE gives preliminary okay; city surveys lagoon property and flags sewer line at 503 Locust

City staff reported at the Nov. 13 Overbrook City Council meeting that the preliminary wastewater report for ongoing lagoon work received KDHE approval and that contractor Schwab-Eaton has been surveying and marking property lines around the lagoon. "We received the preliminary report approved by KDHE and Schwab-Eaton has been doing the surveying and marking property lines out by the lagoon," the clerk reported to council.
Council members and staff also noted specific localized problems: staff highlighted sewer-line issues by 503 Locust that will require targeted inspection and repair planning. No contractors, timelines or dollar figures for repairs were presented at the meeting; staff said they would return with more detail once surveys and inspections are complete.
