At the Sept. 11 meeting, Brett Waggoner presented a wastewater project grant application due Oct. 15 and asked the council to authorize the mayor to sign necessary application documents. Waggoner told the council the proposed loan associated with the grant would include approximately 60% loan forgiveness. The council approved Resolution 2024-09-01 and authorized the mayor to sign the documents.
Council also voted to approve the Preliminary Engineering Report from SchwabEaton and to begin design work conditioned on receipt of a schedule: the council approved a design payment equal to 30% of the lump-sum cost, stated in the meeting as $37,500. The motion to approve authorizations and the PER passed by unanimous vote.
