Council hires engineer to replat Main Street lot, approves road-repair variance
Summary

The council debated the pros and cons and then voted to hire an engineer to expedite replatting so lot negotiations can proceed with interested parties (motion by Rob Fisher, second Laci Heller; passed unanimously). At the same meeting, Jacob requested a zoning variance for road refinishing in front of Lago Vista; the council approved repairing that area using 6 inches of concrete with compacted material underneath (motion by Kevin Klenklen, second Laci Heller; passed unanimously).
The engineer hire is intended to clear platting obstacles so the city can entertain offers; no final sale occurred at the May 12 meeting.
