Kechi City Council approved the purchase of a 2026 patrol vehicle from SERV in an amount not to exceed $58,000, the council recorded at its Jan. 22 meeting. The motion was made by Todd Hedstrom and seconded by Kendra Baldridge and carried 4-0.
City documents state the new vehicle will replace a 2018 patrol unit; the older vehicle will be retained as a spare if needed and eventually sold at government auction. The Council approved the purchase as part of budgeted items in the 2026 operating budget.
