Trustee Jill Wright was re‑elected chair of the McCall‑Donnelly Joint School District board at the Jan. 12, 2026 regular meeting after a nomination from Trustee Laura McGeorge and a second from Trustee Kelly Miller.
Superintendent Tim Thomas welcomed newly elected board members and Vice Chair Wright administered the Oath of Office to Kim Zeydel and Kari Blocker; the new trustees "repeated and executed their Oath of Office statements," according to the meeting record. The board then moved through officer nominations with no opposition: McGeorge nominated Wright for chair (seconded by Miller), and Wright nominated Miller for vice chair (seconded by McGeorge). The motions were accepted by unanimous voice vote.
The leadership elections ensure continuity ahead of the district's upcoming engagements with the Idaho School Boards Association, including the ISBA 'Day on the Hill' in Boise on Feb. 16–17 and the Idaho Education Law Seminar in late April, which the board discussed as items for representation and attendance.
