World Council delegates outline resolutions, committee work and recommend emergency-preparedness and EES payment changes

Delegates to the World Council reported to KOHSA attendees on committee work completed at a recent summit and offered several proposed resolutions for consideration at the World Convention.
Marcus and Robert summarized summit outcomes: committee splitting (technology and environmental work), bylaw and manual edits (grammar and removals of outdated language), and plans for a World Council new-member video to clarify early member duties. The delegates proposed resolutions including: requiring each house to have and use a working printer; requiring an emergency preparedness and response plan for every Oxford House; and limiting EES payments to money orders, cashier’s checks, or checks from a community partner. Marcus additionally reported $1,911.85 remaining from state funds to support travel and out-of-state events.
Delegates said committees are developing materials — technology tutorials, environmental checklists, and engagement outreach — intended to help houses with daily administration and safety preparedness. The World Council report was accepted (MSP).
