Board hears professional development plan; PD funded via Title IIA and SDE dollars

Principal Pickard presented the McCall-Donnelly professional development and training program and recognized the calendar committee’s effort to create PD days. When Chair Laurie Erekson asked how professional development is funded, Pickard said the district utilizes Title IIA and State Department of Education (SDE) funding for PD expenses.
Trustees acknowledged the staffing and scheduling work but did not propose changes to PD funding at the Nov. 10 meeting. The board asked staff to continue monitoring and reporting on PD activities.
