The Budget & Finance Chair presented the state financial report at the July 12 KOHSA meeting in Olathe, detailing year‑to‑date spending of $71,528.48 against $148,700 budgeted for 2025.
The report broke down expenditures by category: Hosting donations $300 of $600 budgeted; food expenses $2,000 of $4,500; travel $4,901.12 of $10,000; transfers to savings $600 of $1,200; IT $1,200 of $2,400; chapter donations (emergency situations) $6,272.36 of $11,000 (including $1,000 allocated for Recovery Idol); unity events $1,255 of $4,000; World Council $14,000 of $14,000 (all spent); conventions $35,000 of $75,000 (state convention $35,000 of $50,000; world convention $0 of $25,000); and out-of-state donations and natural disasters totals also itemized. The chair told the assembly, “I now would like to ask the State Association to accept the Budget & Finance Report.” Buster Pulley moved to accept the report and the motion passed (MSP).
The report and a copy were provided to the secretary for the minutes; the assembly accepted the Budget & Finance report during the meeting (SEG 003–006).
