The Kansas Oxford Houses State Association (KOHSA) on July 12 in Olathe approved a package of expenditures to support delegates and state leadership attending this year’s World Convention.
Delegates voted to cap spending $2,400 for 250 delegate T‑shirts and to spend $400 for T‑shirt tables. The association also approved sending state leadership at a cost of $21,106, buying a plane ticket for the state chair (identified as Alex) for $315.28, and authorizing a check to the National Gaylord Hotel for $50,622.60 to cover hotel rooms. The assembly further passed a motion to write Oxford House Inc. (OHI) a check not to exceed $200,000.
All motions were recorded as passed (MSP) during the meeting; specific movers and seconders were not captured in the minutes. The package consolidates convention-related spending that chapters and state leaders said is intended to ensure lodging, materials and leadership participation at the national event. The motions were presented and approved during the World Convention update portion of the agenda (motions recorded beginning at SEG 296).
