The McCall-Donnelly Board heard a presentation on Bus Right, a routing and communication software system, and agreed to use levy proceeds to purchase it next year. Superintendent Tim Thomas said the software is expected to cost approximately $24,000 per year and that "half the cost of the program will be reimbursed by the State Department of Education."
Trustee Laura McGeorge asked that staff provide a future report on bus ridership numbers so the board can evaluate route reduction goals and cost-effectiveness. The district anticipates the software will help make routing more efficient and could reduce the number of required routes over time.
