Staff: no current plans to extend sewer on West Wilson; buildout estimate $500,000
Summary
Commissioners asked whether sewer service would be extended west of Highway 59; city staff said parts of West Wilson tie into north-south lines, there are no current plans to extend sewer, and a buildout was roughly estimated at $500,000 but is low priority compared with interceptor projects.

A commissioner asked about sewer availability west of Highway 59 and whether the city planned to build sewer lines to that area. A city staff member said some parts of West Wilson have access to north'south lines but there are currently no plans to build out that portion of the city.
"The infrastructure needed for that, the estimate for that cost is roughly $500,000, and it's considered a low priority versus the central interceptor and east and west side interceptor projects that need to take place," a city staff member said, noting the larger interceptor projects were estimated at roughly $88,000,000 each. Staff offered to return with more detailed answers before the public hearing.
