Resident Don Brothers told the board the tree is an invasive species and 'is a hazard that might land on nearby homes during a hurricane' if not removed. Board discussion noted that Mr. Putman inspected and photographed the site and that the item on A‑Z's estimates (item 5 on the agenda) would address the issue.
District Manager Chuck Adams reviewed three A‑Z estimates presented to the board: Clean Up and Trim for $350, Remove with Stump Grind for $600, and Forestry Mulch Around Pond for $5,475. The board chose the $600 stump-grind option for the property behind 11453 Heritage Point Drive. The board did not record any separate votes against the motion; it passed unanimously.
The approved action ties to ongoing operations and maintenance work in the district; the manager said other property-repair quotes (including for a damaged cover from a moving truck) are being obtained and will be discussed at a future meeting.
