Heritage Pines CDD swears in three supervisors; elects board officers

The Heritage Pines Community Development District administered the Oath of Office to newly elected supervisors Arthur Rhodes (Seat 1), Stephen Putman (Seat 2) and Michael Walsh (Seat 3) at its Dec. 10, 2024 regular meeting. District Manager Chuck Adams, acting as a notary, led the ceremony and reviewed filing and ethics requirements for new members.
The board then considered Resolution 2025-01 to elect and remove district officers. Michael Walsh nominated a slate putting Kathleen Lonergan as chair and Arthur Rhodes as vice chair, and retaining Craig Wrathell in prior appointed roles. The resolution removed Janice Benedetti from an assistant-secretary role. “No other nominations were made,” and on a motion by Mr. Walsh, seconded by Ms. Vaughan, the board adopted Resolution 2025-01 “with all in favor.”
The board also reviewed procedural obligations for newly seated members, including Form 1 electronic filing and a four-hour ethics training requirement to be completed by Dec. 31, 2024 for incumbents. Mr. Adams reminded the board of Sunshine Law restrictions on communicating about CDD business outside noticed public meetings.
The board’s officer slate and the oath administration mark the formal transition following recent elections; the board proceeded immediately to budget and operations items after the organizational actions.
