City clerk reports 2023 audit remains open; staff to prepare 2025 proposed budget

Council members set a budget work session for Aug. 30 at noon (announced later in regular comments) to continue budget planning. No final figures or binding budget actions were taken at the Aug. 14 meeting; the clerk recorded ongoing audit work as the principal outstanding fiscal item.
