Re-entry program reports 51% acceptance rate, fundraising and training plans

Jonathan Johnson, Kansas Oxford House State Reentry Chair, presented the Re-entry Committee’s report noting acceptance rates of 39/75 (52%) for January and 30/60 (50%) for February, for a combined 69/135 (51%) acceptance rate. He reported the committee’s checking balance of $4,521.30 and a savings balance of $990.39, and said the reentry program has funded 144 re-entries since 2023 for a total of $21,435.00.
The committee is organizing fundraisers (T-shirts, bracelets, and possibly a TV raffle) and developing a Reentry Manual/Pamphlet and an informational packet for institutions and caseworkers explaining application guidelines. Johnson also said a Reentry Funding Request Form will be available to houses when completed.
