TankSpec finishes exterior work on Ozawkie water tower; mayor outlines interior repairs needed

According to the minutes, TankSpec "worked over the past week to clean up a few items on the water tower including the letter 'a' smoothing out the line between the dark and light blue" and will pay for repairs if a bill is submitted for damage caused during equipment removal. The firm is also coordinating directly with a resident who reported overspray on a truck and boat.
Mayor Loren Lutes also reported results of an interior survey of the tank that identified needed repairs: some ladder rungs need replacement, inlet pipe insulation requires work along the entire 120-foot length, a lap joint above the waterline is showing rust and will require the tank to be drained, repaired, and repainted, and the bypass needs to be opened to flush old water and buildup before refill. The council did not take formal action beyond noting the items and expecting follow-up repairs and billing arrangements if presented.
