Kansas Oxford House adopts 2025 budget, raises monthly bed dues to $7

The Kansas Oxford House State Association voted on March 8 in Hays to adopt its 2025 budget and to raise monthly bed dues to $7 per bed. Budget & Finance Chair Buster Pulley presented the proposal and asked the State Association to accept the budget as presented; the motion to accept the Budget & Finance Report was carried (MSP).
The budget materials reported that, as of Jan. 1, 2025, the state had 211 houses with 1,813 chartered beds. At $6 per bed the projected annual income from bed dues was $130,536; the association voted to increase the monthly bed due to $7 during New Business (motion passed). The budget lists a total annual budget of $148,700 with $14,959.48 spent year-to-date.
Line items noted during the Budget & Finance presentation include $16,300 for State Meetings, $2,400 for IT, $11,000 for Chapter Donations (emergencies), $14,000 for World Council, $16,000 for 4TK allocations (expanded to include Pittsburg), and $75,000 for Conventions (split into $50,000 for the State Convention and $25,000 for the World Convention). The presenter also reported receiving $46,309.62 refunded from last year’s State Convention and that $18,164 of that refund was allocated as compensation this year.
The association’s formal acceptance of the 2025 Budget and the bed-dues increase were recorded as passed motions. The next state meeting is scheduled for May 10, 2025 in Hutchison.
