The Salisbury City Council held first reading on ordinance 3008 on June 22, a text amendment to Chapter 17.28.0.020 of the Salisbury City Code to include 'multiuse facility' as a permitted use in the Light Business Institutional (LBI) district.
Miss Doshay (presenting the ordinance for first reading) said the amendment requires a public hearing followed by a second reading before adoption. "This is an ordinance of the city amending chapter 17.28 0.020 of the Salisbury City code to include multiuse facility as a permitted use," Miss Doshay said during the presentation.
No public testimony was recorded during the first reading portion at this meeting; the council voted to pass the first reading and scheduled the required public hearing and second reading at a later date. The amendment changes allowable land uses in the LBI zoning district and will return to the council for a formal public hearing and final vote.
