Hasbrouck Heights council introduces salary and bond ordinances for July public hearing

Deputy Municipal Clerk Michelle Sery read ORD 2607 to fix salaries and compensation for specified officers and employees for 2026, and ORD 2608 to amend salary tables for the Department of Public Works. Council members moved and unanimously approved introduction of both ordinances. The meeting also introduced two bond ordinances: ORD 2609 to appropriate $500,000 for Kipp Avenue Phase II improvements and ORD 2610 to appropriate $2,267,000 for various public improvements, equipment and technology. Each ordinance passed first reading and will be the subject of a public hearing at the July 14, 2026 regular meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The introductions advance budgeted capital projects and administrative compensation updates; final adoption will require the scheduled public hearings and subsequent council votes.
