Representatives of Lewis County Fire District 3 addressed the council about an upcoming vote on an EMS levy set for Aug. 4. The district said it is funded by two levies and does not receive funds from the City of Mossyrock, Lewis County or the state; council members were told to direct further questions to Chief Edgington.
No council action was taken at the meeting; the district presented the levy’s implications and reminded residents to vote on Aug. 4. The presentation included a request that voters reach out to the fire district with any questions about how continuation or noncontinuation of the levy would affect services.
