Planning Commission backs bunkhouse expansion at Tree Farm; council appoints Roger Sewright

Marcia Manley reported the Planning Commission met on June 13 and recommended an expansion of the bunkhouse at the Tree Farm, including additional landscaping to make the property appear more like a residence. The commission also accepted a letter of interest from Roger Sewright to fill an open position.
Roger Sewright gave a short introduction expressing his interest in participating in community planning, and Mayor Randall Sasser appointed Sewright as the newest member of the Planning Commission. During public comment, Colleen Sewright raised a safety concern about a proposed circular driveway on Mossyrock Rd W, saying a van backing out in fog could create a hazard if the circular driveway were not approved. Council did not take additional formal action on the Tree Farm expansion during this meeting.
