APA plans to use Building Hope and state grants to fund facilities, instruments and buses

When asked where funding for specialized performing-arts facilities and instruments would come from, APA representatives said they have engaged Building Hope to secure bridge loans and assistance with construction financing and equipment procurement. Pat Hyatt said, "We have already been in contact with what we call Building Hope... they also do funding for bridge loans, for your infrastructure inside your building, your equipment, your computers, and they will even fund... our performing arts, the equipment we need."
Presenters also said they had solicited support from state legislators — naming Representative/Senator Brian Lawson — to request appropriations for buses and instruments, and that Vance Hammond with the Boys & Girls Club had put them in contact with a grant resource in Columbia for performing-arts equipment. A planning-team member (David) cited prior success securing a $1,200,000 legislative line item in past work as an example of grant-writing experience. Board members asked for documentation of these financing commitments.
