County veteran aide donates to Mossyrock VFW and outlines help available

Dodd and an anonymous friend donated funds to the Mossyrock VFW to cover meeting-space rental fees for 2026 and supplied a check to the city in the VFW's name.
Mayor Randall Sasser described taking the issue to county officials and researching a related RCW and publicly thanked Dodd for stepping forward. As Sasser put it, "he is a believer that when something is right that you do what you can to make it right." Council did not take formal action related to the donation; the check was accepted and the information about veteran services will be made available at City Hall.
