Water and wastewater staff reported several near-term infrastructure updates at the Feb. 6 meeting. Minutes state Lift Station I’s generator has been installed and "it runs every Monday at 9 am for 30 minutes." The water plant is expecting a new motor that should be installed the week of the meeting, and a water-plant generator was set to ship in March. A new scale for the chlorine tanks was scheduled to arrive at the end of the following week.
Council member M. LaFleur and water staff (Randy Crum) inspected storm drains with the street crew and noted a drainage obstruction at the end of North 3rd Street that will need clearing when thawing begins. The council recorded these infrastructure items as informational and reviewed related maintenance contractor charges in the claims list.
