The Jefferson City Council approved its Jan. 10 agenda and the Dec. 5, 2022 minutes and then accepted the finance officer's financial statement, which reported a total fund balance of $374,344.48 as of Dec. 31, 2022. The statement listed checking $38,710.29; savings $307,055.16; a CD of $17,904.03; restricted cash $10,575.00; and petty cash $100.00. The motion to approve the financial statement was moved by P. Rigg and seconded by J. Casper and carried.
Finance Officer Michaeleen Roark provided the balances during the meeting at Jefferson City Hall and filed the detailed report with city records. The council's approval leaves the city positioned to proceed with planned research on property-value questions and routine departmental purchases reported later in the meeting. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 6, 2023.
