Planning Director Heather Troutman reported the city issued a request for proposals for a new permit system to meet state time-tracking requirements and modernize online permitting. She said staff aim to select vendors that support online application, payment, document sharing and a paperless review workflow and that finalists will be invited for interviews and demonstrations.
"We have put together a request for proposals that was issued today for a new permit system for the city of Fairway Heights," Troutman said, noting past legislative changes required increased permit time tracking. Staff will present recommended finalists to a committee and return to council with selections and implementation details.
