Mayor Kevin Hester and three councilmembers took oaths of office at the Nooksack City Council's Jan. 5, 2026 meeting. Steven Neyens was sworn to Council Position 1; Randy Relethford to Council Position 2; and Elizabeth Bahzad to Council Position 3. The meeting record lists Councilmembers Marshall Judy and Dave Finet as present as well.
Police Chief Dan MacPhee and City Planner Rollin Harper were noted absent with notice; City Planner Holly Hamilton participated via Zoom and later presented footage of recent flooding along the Nooksack River. The meeting was called to order and then proceeded through procedural business, including approval of minutes and several motions.
