Mayor flags pumphouse motor failure; planner outlines lift station project and Jan. 6 public hearing

Planner Richard updated the council on lift station #2 replacement work and said he is coordinating with the public works board and expects input from Jackson Civil Engineers. He also raised concerns about overlapping boundaries on the Cascade Renewable Transmission project and said the developer may request a council nominee to participate; staff announced a public hearing on Jan. 6 regarding the Cascade Business Park and utility extensions.
Council did not take formal action on the pumphouse motor at the Dec. 9 meeting beyond noting the budgeted replacement; further procurement and schedule decisions will be handled by staff.
