Councilor Margie Lee asked whether a line for Jammie's Environmental was for biosolids removal; CAO Taylor Chambers confirmed that it was. After the vote, resident Jeff Blakeley asked why minutes and vouchers were combined for a single consent vote. "I did not think the Council should vote on two items at one time," he said.
City Attorney Dan Curtis explained that routine, noncontroversial items are placed on the consent agenda so the council can approve multiple items with one vote. Curtis said that if a councilor wished to discuss any consent item, they could pull it from consent for separate consideration and vote.
On a motion by Councilor Margie Lee, seconded by Councilmember Mary Helms, the consent items were approved by a 3-0 vote. The vouchers approved at that meeting totaled $20,686.33.
