Planner to present supplement after County Council approval of UGA reserve areas 3 and 4

City Planner Rollin Harper reported that County Council approved Nooksack UGA reserve areas 3 and 4 and said he will prepare a supplement addressing County concerns and attend the County Council meeting on Feb. 24 to present it.
City Planner Rollin Harper told the council that County Council has approved Nooksack urban growth area (UGA) reserve areas 3 and 4. Planner Harper said he is preparing a supplemental document to respond to concerns raised by the County Council and will be at the County Council meeting on Feb. 24 to present that supplement.
The update was presented as an informational status report; no city-level action or vote on the UGA designations was recorded at the Feb. 17 meeting. The planner indicated follow-up work and intergovernmental engagement will continue as part of the UGA process.
