Sheriff, public works and community groups report; Park Board resignation noted

Deputy Lindquist of the Sheriff’s office thanked the town for providing food and water during the Greyhound fire and thanked Jerry, Devin and Joe for their help removing fallen trees from South Rockerville Road. The remark was acknowledged during the sheriff's report portion of the meeting.
Public Works Supervisor Jerry Przybylski told trustees that blower units at the sewer plant need new seals (not full replacement) and that staff can replace a fan motor in-house; he also said crews repaired several highway signs for the Department of Transportation. The Park Board minutes were included in the packet and Finance Officer Samantha Epler reported that Tracy Harrison resigned from the Park Board. In a citizens' item, Paula Cottrell said Stars and Stripes Alliance will offer a free tax-filing service and will hold a "Sasquatch Scavenger Hunt" on Aug. 22.
