At their April 9 meeting the Kingsbury County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine and substantive actions:
• Approved the April 9 agenda as amended (motion by Spilde, second Lundquist). • Approved minutes of March 17, 2026 (motion by Lundquist, second Walls). • Approved claims as presented and directed the Auditor to issue warrants (motion by Spilde, second Lundquist). • Accepted the Auditor/Treasurer report as of March 31, 2026 (motion by Walls, second Lundquist). • Approved travel requests for Treasurer/Register of Deeds/Deputy Auditor to SDACO spring workshop and other staff training (motion by Nelson, second Spilde). • Approved Right-of-Way application from East River Electric for poles along CR204 (motion by Lundquist, second Spilde). • Approved travel for Emergency Manager Kristen Longville to EM training in Pierre (motion by Lundquist, second Nelson). • Approved amended wage scale converting the Deputy States Attorney position to salaried (motion by Nelson, second Lundquist). • Approved travel for Director and Deputy Director of Equalization to Sioux Falls district meeting (motion by Nelson, second Lundquist). • Approved the 2026 malt beverage license renewal for Mathew’s store (motion by Spilde, second Nelson). • Adopted Resolution 2026-5 to supplement the 2026 budget for the 425th Ave project by $3,666,000 (motion by Nelson, second Lundquist; roll-call vote recorded). • Accepted vendor estimates for courthouse camera system contingent on removal of prepay clause (motion by Walls). • Moved into executive session for personnel (9:04–9:10 A.M.) and later for contract negotiations (10:30–10:36 A.M.). • Adjourned and set the next meeting for April 21, 2026 at 8:30 A.M.
