Board approves agricultural land status changes; several properties lose Ag exemption

The Kingsbury County Board of Equalization approved multiple agricultural land status adjustments during its April 15 meeting. Director of Equalization Tammy Anderson reported that six properties no longer met the criteria for the agricultural exemption while two properties now qualified for Ag land status; the staff report also recorded three Ag land changes and two soil classification changes.
Roger Walls moved to approve the Ag changes as listed, and Corey Lundquist seconded the motion; all five commissioners present voted aye and the motion carried. The board’s action applies the adjustments reported by staff to the county tax rolls and was entered into the minutes.
