Kingsbury County approves $53,915.55 engineering estimate to pursue bridge BIG grant

Highway Superintendent Dave Sorenson presented an estimate from Civil Design, Inc. for engineering services on Bridge No. 39-070-041 north of Manchester totaling $53,915.55 to prepare the project for bidding and a grant application.
On a motion by Commissioner Troy Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Steve Spilde, the Board voted unanimously to accept and approve the estimate so the county can make the bridge project bid ready and apply for a BIG grant.
The approval allows staff to proceed with engineering work necessary to seek federal or state grant funding; the county did not yet commit construction funds beyond the engineering cost presented.
