The Kingsbury County Board voted to approve a permit request from Dakota Air Spray to land aircraft on county highways for operational purposes. Auditor Echo Steffensen presented the request and the board approved the permit with a motion by Commissioner Steve Spilde, seconded by Commissioner Troy Nelson; all present voted aye.
Commissioner Troy Nelson asked that Deputy States Attorney Todd Wilkinson review Dakota Air Spray's Certificate of Insurance to confirm suitable coverage before any further county reliance on the permit. The approval authorized the Chairman to sign the permit document; the board recorded no dissents.
The action was procedural and included an explicit direction to have county legal counsel confirm insurance coverage adequacy.
