The Kingsbury County Board of County Commissioners on April 9 adopted a supplemental budget authorizing $3,666,000 in additional spending for the 425th Avenue road project. Auditor Echo Steffensen opened the public hearing and stated, “Steffensen opened the hearing to supplement the 425th Ave project budget in the amount of $3,666,000.00.”
The resolution (2026-5) designates proceeds from debt as the offsetting means of finance. The Board approved the resolution by roll call: Lee – aye, Spilde – aye, Walls – aye, Lundquist – aye, Nelson – aye. After the vote Chairman Kyle Lee left the meeting and Vice-Chairman Corey Lundquist presided for the remainder of the session. The supplemental appropriation will allow staff to prepare bid-ready documents and advance the 425th Avenue construction schedule.
