Commissioners approve $26,574.68 in courthouse repairs; HR audit prompts personnel executive session

HR consultants Natalie Remund and Jessica Bingham joined by Zoom to brief the board on a DCI audit required for using FBI background checks for new hires; Remund was designated to fill processing roles and new HR policies will be considered at the March 17, 2026 meeting. Bingham presented a User Agreement for SD-CJIS Systems access for non-criminal-justice agencies; the board authorized the Chairman to sign the agreement (motion Lundquist/Nelson). The board then moved into executive session for personnel matters at 11:47 a.m. and returned at 11:57 a.m.
