The Kingsbury County Board of County Commissioners on March 3 awarded the 425th Avenue reconstruction contract to Asphalt Paving & Materials Co., the low bidder at $3,287,773.31. Civil Design Inc. told the board substantial completion is scheduled for Aug. 7, 2026, with total completion on Sept. 4, 2026. The motion to award the contract (moved by Commissioner Roger Walls and seconded by Commissioner Steve Spilde) carried with all commissioners voting aye.
The board received and reviewed competing bids—Round's, Halme, Duninck, Loiseau, Midland and others—before accepting the low bid. The record shows the county discussed the possibility of additional local improvements (a separate request from Redstone Dairy for work on 215th Street) and that core samples are expected before any further decisions on that request.
