Commissioners discussed shared‑use strategies and whether the project might qualify for reductions tied to transit‑oriented development; several commissioners said they were not inclined to require more parking without a documented need. Commissioner comments asked for a breakdown showing tenant‑reserved parking, shared commercial parking, and spaces allocated for amenities or childcare pickup/dropoff.
Staff and the applicant said the traffic study and a staff‑recommended parking analysis will be presented at the July 8 meeting so the commission can compare the required 208‑space baseline against the applicant’s proposed allocation and any requested exceptions.
