Mr. Oliva reviewed the township budget and said the employee benefit section of the General budget was exceeded primarily because of unforeseen insurance costs. He reported approximately $25,000 is available to transfer from the General budget to special funds for 2022, about $90,000 is available from the Road budget and roughly $50,000 from the Fire budget.
He cautioned that, as in 2021, the payroll portion of the budget will be very tight in 2022. Mr. Oliva also said the township financial statement is due to the county by the end of January and that the auditing process was approximately 80% complete and expected to be finalized and ready to submit in February.
