Soldier Township board approves minutes and a 24-month lease for road milling equipment

At its Jan. 11 meeting the Soldier Township Board approved its Dec. 7 minutes and the check register, and voted 3-0 to lease a Caterpillar PM312-02 mill from Foley Equipment Company for 24 months at $10,422.98 per month.
The Soldier Township Board approved its check register and the Dec. 7, 2021 meeting minutes and agenda on Jan. 11, 2022. Trustee Karl McNorton moved to approve the items, Clerk Mike Mathes seconded, and the motion carried 3-0.
Later in the meeting the board voted to lease a Caterpillar mill (model PM312-02) from Foley Equipment Company for a 24-month term at $10,422.98 per month. Clerk Mike Mathes moved the lease motion and Trustee Karl McNorton seconded; the motion carried 3-0. The board noted that available Road Fund transfers (approximately $90,000) will help cover equipment costs and that the lease is part of the Road Department’s equipment plan.
